Evening Blue

Last Saturday there was a Golden Dawn demonstration in downtown Athens. There were also two other, opposing demonstrations nearby, scheduled for roughly the same time. Nobody knew how the evening would turn out  —  would there be clashes in the streets? Fights? Teargas? Looting? A friend, who lives near the Golden Dawn demonstration site, approached the policemen who were guarding the perimeter from early on, to express her anxiety. The policemen chuckled, and reassured her that nothing would happen on that evening. Seems that some people knew how it would turn out after all.
